Lake Viverone lies at 230 metres above sea level in the middle of a triangle formed by the towns of Biella, Vercelli and Ivrea. Turin and Aosta are quite close whereas Genoa and the important city of Milan are both a iittle more than an hour's travel away.
The lake lies in the Serra region of glacierformed moraines at the foot of the Alps, a commanding position if ever there was one! The area is well known, firstly for its production Of D O C certified wines, such as ERBALUCE and PASSITO, and the locally esteemed names of ROSSO-RUBINO and ROSELLO on the lake, and this is thanks to a pleasantly warm micro-climate enjoyed by the basin of the lake, and then secondly, for the splendid sheet of water that Lake Viverone offers to water-sport enthusiasts.
Thirdly, we have a wide variety Of available leisure pursuits, (golf go-karting, fishing, horse-riding, mountain-biking,) and excursions through a variety of spectacular terrains in the space of a few miles.
The Lake Viverone area suggests itself as an attractive holiday destination either for a short weekend or for a longer period particulary during the April to October time of year.
